This Privacy Policy describes how Drunk Cards (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Drunk Cards mobile application and the drunkcards.io website (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what the Service needs to function:

  • Account information. If you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and any profile details you provide.
  • Content you create. Deck prompts, generated cards, decks you publish, and deck metadata such as cover art.
  • Device and usage data. Device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and basic usage events (screens viewed, features used) to improve the Service.
  • Identifiers. A device-level identifier used for analytics and abuse prevention. We do not collect your advertising identifier.

We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or financial account information.

2. How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Generate cards and decks in response to your prompts.
  • Personalize the content feed and recommend decks.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. AI-generated content

Drunk Cards uses third-party large language models to generate card content from your prompts. Your prompts and relevant context may be sent to these providers solely to generate a response. We do not sell your prompts and we do not use them to train models without your consent. Providers process data subject to their own privacy terms.

4. Sharing of information

We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers. Hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, and AI inference providers who process data on our behalf under contractual protections.
  • Public content. Decks and profile information you choose to publish are publicly visible inside the Service.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is perfectly secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Access and deletion. You may request a copy of your data or delete your account by emailing us at the address below.
  • Opt-out of analytics. You can disable analytics in your device settings or by uninstalling the app.
  • Regional rights. Residents of the EEA, UK, California, and certain other jurisdictions have additional rights under local law (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection). We honor verified requests to the extent required by law.

8. Children

The Service is rated 17+ and is not directed to children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

9. International transfers

We operate globally. Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate.
